GOLFING LISTS provides a comprehensive list of records relating to all aspects of the game of golf. Much of the information on this site is readily available on the internet, but not all in one place – until now.

Not everything is old material, we have also compiled some new and interesting lists. As always, the problem with lists is, you never know just how long it will be. We have used a yardstick of around 10 entries per list but that varies from list-to-list.

We have divided the site into several easy-to-follow sections (as seen on the left). To find out what each section contains, just click on the appropriate link.

Before you do that, a couple of things you may notice while trawling through the site, which we will address here rather than mailing me ... (1) The British golfers Harry Vardon and Ted Ray were born in Jersey and that is shown as being their "Country" throughout these pages. We are aware that Jersey is not a country but is a British Crown Dependency. However, for the purpose of this site, it is a country. (2) We refer to The Open Championship as the British Open. We acknowledge its full and correct title but, as it is widely called the British Open, we have opted to call it that - furthermore, it is easier to type.
