Seve Ballesteros enjoyed his first Tour win on 8 August 1976 when he won the Dutch Open at Zandvoort by beating England's Howard Clark by eight strokes. Victory for the 19-year-old Spaniard came a month after he announced his arrival to the golfing world by finishing joint second in the British Open at Royal Birkdale after leading for three rounds.
